DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION:

ONCOLLIGA, is a non-profit organisation with the aim of fighting against oncological illnesses helping people with cancer and their families from the moment of the diagnosis, during the whole process of the illness.

TASKS OF VOLUNTEERS:

Volunteer helps in several supporting programmes for people who has oncological illness under the supervision of staff:

- Programme of psychological support: psychological help to the patient (talking to him/her), in visits. Psychological help to the families (emotional support in visits, at the premises of the organisation or at their home, to make them get over their situation). Offer support to people in closer contact with the patients. Support in mourning processes (when the patient dies, visiting the family with the psychologist to help them get over it).

- Social aid programme: carry out assistance, accompaniment and support to the patient and its family during the illness. Helping in lending materials like hospital beds, cranes, wheel-chairs, anti-sore mattresses, etc. and transporting them to patient' s home.

- Training programmes: preparation of training courses, information conferences and other events. Also participation in specific trainings: conferences, information seminars, etc. organised by other entities.
