Place: Denmark - Town of 40.000 inhabitants

Dates: from October 2009 for 10 months

Board & Lodging: The volunteer will be living in a nice hostfamily with cats and dogs. 

Description:

Depending on the interest and competencies of the EVS volunteer, the theatre will be able to offer volunteer tasks within the following areas:
" the general administration of the theatre
" promotion of the theatre (internationally and nationally)
" the artistic production
" other tasks in connection with international and local activities

Proposed activities for EVS volunteers:
The theatre is currently engaged in the following activities:
" Cooperation with the Middle East Peace Orchestra - a peace orchestra which includes Arab and Jewish musicians. The project will take the form of a performance which involves the orchestra as well as actors from the region. It is envisioned that the performance will be shown internationally as well.
" Cooperation with the Lebanese Puppet Theatre Centre. The target group for this project is the immigrant population in Denmark.
" Performances for children
" Developing the relations to external partners in the local area
" General tasks related to the organisation and productions of the theatre
" International promotion activities

Typical tasks include assisting with production tasks, assisting in internal and external communication tasks, assisting in the area of international activities, acting as director assistant, taking part in product development, attending the courses offered to the staff of the theatre, taking part in the touring work, research work, etc.
